Thanks all for the help. Opened my eyes!
At this point, I'm looking at
Corgi ESP32 6 Axis CNC Controller for FluidNC

SKU CQA231222CE3
Any experience out there with this?
Any chance DIYCNC could supply it?

There are quite a few discussions on reddit about similar boards. they are ESP32-based, and FluidNC works well with ESP32. From my experience, the biggest concern with these boards is opto-isolation, especially if you want to run an AC spindle with a VFD.

It really depends on what you want to do. If you just want to build a machine without getting too deep into coding, any of these boards should be fine.

But if you're thinking about developing your own DIY CNC products, I'd suggest looking from ESP32 dev board, or kit, install and configure FluidNC are extremelly easy, once you start running the spindle, think about the opto-isolation, or directly go with and linuxCNC..

Got a message from one of our partners. They recommended this board: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008795989197.html . It’s also based on FluidNC.

They want to send us a board to test, so I can share our experience with it once we’ve had a chance to try it out.

Hi Frank,  take a look at this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005013132065976.html,   it also used the ESP32 Dev module directly and adds some isolaters and connector interfaces, easy to extend your kit... 😑

Thanks for sharing! Yes, we've added some opto-isolators and RS485 interface modules to give users more flexibility. We'll definitely consider your suggestion.
