Not ideal for CNC use.
This board lacks key features needed for a proper CNC setup:
No spindle port: To use a spindle, I had to add a separate PWM/TTL adapter, which complicates the wiring.
No external stepper driver connectors for X/Y axes: You’re locked into the onboard TMC2209 drivers, which limits flexibility and upgrade options.
I tested it as a laser engraver, and it works fine in that role. However, the official documentation is too basic, which made setup and troubleshooting difficult. I’m giving 3 stars solely for DIYCNC’s responsive tech support — thank you for the help! Please release a more detailed technical guide as soon as possible.
