Isn't this the board that can't be flashed in the event one would like to upgrade their firmware in the future?

Answer:

The board can functionally upgrade the firmware (GRBL) via USB or computer connection. However, the process is not straightforward due to several reasons. Post-upgrade configurations are also required. If you are in Toronto or Vancouver, Canada, you can drop off the card at our warehouse for a free upgrade. If not, we can guide you via email (or live chat) on how to do so.
