    This is my first time using an Arduino board to test my CNC motors. The step-by-step tutorial is pretty good. I wasn't expecting it to be this easy, but thanks for helping me follow the proper direction. I am so happy to use programming to test the stepper motor instead of a controller.

Do I have to use GRBL library on my Arduino UNO to operate the stepper motors?

Answer:

You do not need to install grbl unless you are using it as your CNC controller. In fact, running the stepper motor is quite simple using Arduino IDE or pre-made scripts on UNO. Our technical documents include several samples that do not require grbl.
