I would like to order the Water-Cooled CNC Spindle Motor 220V SKU: 5227-2.2-20-235-80.

It says “Availability: 1 in stock (can be backordered)”.

Can you confirm you have the item in stock as I don’t want to order it and wait for a long period of time to receive it as I need asap to replace my spindle that just died on me.

Hi dlaps,

Sorry, the spindle just shipped out for another customer’s project, so it’s not available right now. However, we’ll have some higher-quality spindles with better bearings coming in about two weeks.

Thanks,

Frank

What will be the difference and why it wil be better? Will it be the same 80mm? I don't want to wait two weeks to see no benefits as I need to order one verry soon as I need to continue a project.

This is another vendor sent to us their products first time. We have never tested their products, so We only make it available online (once we received them) based on reviews from other users. The manufacturer's sales representative told us that their products use better bearings, better components, etc. The price is also higher than our current spindle brand.

For spindles in this price range, I would say that "better" or "worse" is really subjective. For example, one of my daily-use machines has a cheaper spindle, and it has been running for almost two years. I even have a backup spindle sitting beside it, but I've never had the opportunity to replace it :).

If I were you, I wouldn't take the risk of waiting for this uncertain product. I would shop around and find another one so you can continue your project.

I will share my experience here once I have the opportunity to use these new spindles.

Thanks,

Is the spindle you currently have on your machine is currently available in my configuration on your site?

I am using the same brand from the same manufacturer that is currently listed in our store. 'List in our store', doesn't mean In-Stock. You have to check the product page for real-time inventory status.

If the product in your shopping cart, the shipping options will tell the inventory status.

I was also considering upgrading to 3.0KW water cooled spindle. Would I be able to run this unit with my current VFD that feed a 2.2KW spindle?

In general, VFD's rated power should be always larger than spindle's power. For example, 3KW VFD can feed 2.2KW spindle, but 2.2KW VFD can not feed 3KW spindle.
