1. Product Brands:
   Currently, we offer two types of linear guideways on our website: HIWIN and Non-HIWIN (Compatible, Generic). HIWIN products and their accessories are typically regarded as high-quality, precision components, often used in motion systems requiring high reliability and accuracy. Non-HIWIN (compatible) products are more popular with DIY users due to their relatively lower price and decent quality. If you're a first-time buyer or new to DIY projects, Non-HIWIN products might be a better choice, as their models, sizes, and specifications are identical to HIWIN’s.
2. Sliding Block (Bearing Block):
   The sliding block (bearing block) is often considered a consumable part, especially the non-HIWIN bearing blocks. If it’s used in a high-frequency motion system, we recommend considering a design that allows for easy replacement. If there are no budget concerns, obviously, the HIWIN brand of bearing blocks is the recommended choice.
3. Product Bundling:
   For all of our linear guideway products (except bundle items), the guide rail and bearing block are sold separately, regardless of the product image. This gives customers more flexibility to choose whether or not to include the bearing blocks or simply replace them.
4. Customizable Length:
   The length of the linear guideway is customizable. We list and price it per centimeter. Simply input the desired length (in cm) in the quantity box when adding to your shopping cart. Please refer Custom Length: https://diycnc.ca/?p=11894

Custom lengths may apply to products such as aluminum extrusions, linear rails, linear rods, ball screws, etc.

  • Professional cut by manufacture (if shipped from manufacture directly (*)

(Notes: the maximum length is 200cm(~79 inch) for Aluminum Extrusion, Ball Screw, Lead Screw, Linear Screw, Linear Rods etc. Any length longer than 200 cm (up to 6 meters / 600 cm per single piece), we will need to provide a special quote based on your location and quantity.  Wire, Timing Belt, Cable Chain are not in this category)

There are two types customizing length products: Length as Qty and Length Range.

Length as Quantity

        • In the Checkout page, you can also put necessary comments in the Order Notes box to ensure your customizing process.

Length Range Products

• • • • • • Any custom-cut length may result in a tolerance. The cutting tolerance of aluminum profiles can reach up to the thickness of the cutting saw blade. If you have specific accuracy requirements, please indicate them in the 'Order Notes' when checking out.
          • All custom length cuts, mechanical operations, or transportation may cause scratches, dents, or wear on anodized, sandblasted, or other metal or non-metal surface finishes. Unless specifically noted in the ‘Order Notes’, these normal occurrences during processing will not be considered valid reasons for after-sales service.
          • All cutting and other mechanical operations may produce metal shavings, debris, and sharp metal edges. Please handle with extra care upon receiving the goods.

① Reset Button

Press the reset button to restart the program.

② USB-to-Serial Chip
This chip converts the data received from USB into serial data and sends it to the main control chip.

③ 5V/2A Power Supply Module
The power supply module provides power to the main board. It regulates an external 6–12V input to 5V/2A (10W) output, which can drive multiple servos, toy motors, micro linear sliders, and other devices.

④ 6–9V Battery Connector
A dedicated battery connector that can be connected to an AA battery holder or 18650 lithium battery pack. This makes the development board easier to arrange when building mobile projects.

⑤ USB Interface
Used for program downloading and USB power supply.

⑥ 3.3V Power Chip
Provides 3.3V voltage output for the development board.

⑦ Automatic Switching Controller for External Power and USB Power
An automatic power switching system composed of an FDN340P MOSFET and LMV358IDGKR amplifier.
By default, the development board is powered through the USB interface. When an external power supply is connected, the controller automatically disconnects USB power and switches to the external power source. When the external power is removed, it automatically switches back to USB power. This function protects the computer from interference caused by external power supplies connected to the development board.

⑧ Resettable Fuse
If a short circuit occurs due to incorrect wiring on the development board, the fuse automatically disconnects the circuit between the board and the computer, protecting the computer’s USB port from damage or system crashes.

⑨ Digital G | V | S Expansion Interface
The onboard digital G | V | S interface makes it easier and faster to connect sensors or actuators, eliminating the need for an expansion shield when building projects.

• G = GND (power negative)
• V = VCC (power positive)
• S = IO signal interface
  The G/V pins provide 5V/2A output, meeting the power requirements of most sensors and actuators.

⑩ Analog G | V | S Expansion Interface
The onboard analog G | V | S expansion interface allows convenient connection of analog sensors. Additional A6 and A7 analog input pins are provided to support more sensors.

⑪ ICSP Serial Programming Interface
Used for writing the bootloader to the development board or for downloading programs using a compiler.

⑫ ATMEGA328P Main Controller Chip
The ATMEGA328P is the brain of the development board. It handles program storage, execution, computation, and signal input/output.

⑬ Crystal Oscillator
Provides the clock signal for the ATMEGA328P main controller chip.

⑭ LED Indicator Lights
The board includes four LED indicators:

• ON – Power indicator (lights up when power is on)
• RX / TX – Serial communication indicators (blink when serial data is transmitted or received)
• L – D13 pin indicator (lights up when the D13 signal is HIGH)
